  Well done to our brilliant football team who took part in a tournament organised by the Police at the Soccerdome yesterday. They scored some cracking goals and we are really proud of them ⭐️⚽️

  

• Netball

  Our netball team have continued their undefeated run, beating Avondale 3-1 and getting a draw 1-1 against Holy Souls! 
   

  They played fantastically and we are so proud of them ⭐️

  

• STEM DAY

  Our ‘Science Technology Engineering Maths’ workshop is under way with our Year 5 & 6s.  The children will be spending the morning working in teams to design, build and test a rocket for launching a satellite into space. 
  Building teamwork, listening, and problem-solving skills, students will learn how to test these rockets, seeing and learning how different factors such as friction, gravity and other forces act together to impact success of launch.

   

  We can’t wait to see the finished rockets.  🚀 

  

• Coronation Competition

  Thank you to all of our children who took part in designing a symbol to represent values which we believe are important for our new King to take forward with him during his reign. We had some wonderful designs which really showcase not only the artistic talents of our children but also the shared values which we have as a school community. • World Book Day 2023

  This year to celebrate World Book Day we all focused on the story of Birthday Bunny by Jon Scieszka. Jon edited this original version to create the story of Battle Bunny. We began the day with a visit from Battle Bunny who told us his story. The children were then challenged to edit their own version of Birthday Bunny. We had some amazing results and the children shared their new versions during a celebration assembly. Mrs Addy is going to post some of these to Jon Scieszka and we are hoping that he will share some on his Battle Bunny webpage. 

  

• World Book Day Character Competition

  Thank you to all of our children who entered this year's World Book Day character competition. We had some wonderful creations - but more importantly it looks like you all had some fun at home making them. Mrs Andy from the kitchen was our guest judge this year and chose some deserving winners. Everyone who brought in a creation received a bookmark.

• This Months Book Voucher Winner

  Congratulations to the lucky winner of the raffle draw for February. All pupils in Key Stage Two who achieve their target are placed in the Raffle. This is drawn at the end of each month and the lucky winner takes home a £20 voucher for a shopping spree at The Works.
