The goverment have made changes to the way admission authorities school governing bodies carry out admission appeals this year.
The new regulations temporarily amend the 2012 Appeals Regulations and give admission authorities, local authorities and admission appeal panels more flexibility when dealing with appeals during the COVID-19 outbreak
Due to the impact of the coronavirus on admission appeals there may be unavoidable delays this year in scheduling appeals.
The Local authority are looking at flexibility to hold panels via telephone or video conference or in writing and also at extending the normal timescales. Updates on this matter will be provided as soon as possible.
