FESTIVAL OF SPORT 2024

We were so lucky to be one of only four schools in Blackburn with Darwen chosen to take part in the festival of sport in Accrington. There were lots of schools there and our children’s behaviour, attitude, and enthusiasm was outstanding. We all had so much fun and took part in a variety of fun sports and activities. Although it wasn’t a competition, we still managed to win all our cricket matches 😊

Another big well done to our Cross Country superstars 🌟🏃 🏃‍♀️ 

Hanna finished the season the 5th best runner in Blackburn with Darwen and has progressed so much from the first race.  You are brilliant 🏃‍♀️🌟

Theo finished the season 2nd. As the winning school is in the Ribble Valley, Theo is the best runner in Blackburn with Darwen and we are incredibly proud of how hard he has trained and how hard he has worked over the past 2 years. 

You are both amazing 🌟🌟

Year 3 loved their orienteering lesson and learnt lots about map skills and working together as a team 🗺️ 🧭

Congratulations to the children who have achieved their bronze and silver awards this term for outstanding commitment to extra curricular and morning clubs. 
I am so proud of these children starting their day in the best way…with exercise and having fun with their friends!🏃‍♂️🏃🏽‍♀️

I was so impressed with Year 5 and their confidence and motivation during their active learning training. They showed lots of creativity and came up with lots of great ideas. We are looking forward to them starting to help our wonderful pupils keep active during the school day ⛹🏽‍♂️
