Year 3 Visit to East Lancashire Hospice

Over the past couple of weeks Year 3 children have been to visit patients at East Lancashire Hospice. Once the children arrived they had a tour of the Hospice and the gardens.

We then went to paint with some of the patients. We are looking forward for the patients to visit our school.

This week residents from East Lancashire Hospice visited our school.  Year 3 gave them a guided tour of the grounds and building. A favourite activity for all was engaging in the calm environment of our 4D classroom.

Kim, Laura and Leeanna came from East Lancashire Hospice to tell us what happens there. A hospice is like a hospital but it is a place for people who are not going to get better.

Year 3 are going to visit the hospice soon to produce some art work with the patients.

Over this year we are hoping to raise some money but more importantly raise awareness of the work that is done at East Lancashire Hospice.

Year 3 produced a class assembly to inform the rest of the school about the work done at East Lancashire Hospice.
