Edward Lear was a famous Victorian Poet who was well known for writing Limericks.
Here are a few that have been written by Class 6
On Thursday 25th February Year 6 visited Samlesbury Hall.
We visited the living room and made a fire using paper, kindling, logs and coal. Half an hour later it was done. The house had 14 fires. It's a good job we didn't have to do all of them. How long?
The visit to the kitchen was interesting.
After lunch we did the drill up, down, run on the spot. We were so tired we had to sit down in the class and tackle some tricky Maths! Write a poem, using rhyming words of course.
Mr Franklands favourite lesson.
Over a period of a week the children made remakes of a Victorian Dolls house. they even made a light switch on and off inside to link with our science topic of Electricity.
Watt! do you think of them?
