World Book Day
The Year One staff dressed up as the characters from the popular
children's story 'The Tiger Who Came to Tea' by Judith Kerr .
We served biscuits, buns (and milk from a teapot) to re enact the story!
Before the TIGER arrived and tried to
help himself to all the food and drink!
To finish our topic we enjoyed a visit from an animal who has soft, furry paws, sharp claws and long whiskers!
We thought of and wrote questions to ask the pet owner so that we could find our more about the pet's likes, dislikes, health and eating and sleeping habits.
We found out the visitor was a mammal, a carnivore and also nocturnal. What a wonderful way to end our topic!
