Wow! We are so unbelievably proud of these children. We were chosen to represent Blackburn with Darwen in the Lancashire dance finals at Winter Gardens in Blackpool. 25 schools, over 500 children taking part and performing in front of over 2000 people. What an experience!
We had a walk to the beach, chippy tea and just such a fun day!
The highlight was winning 'Best Costume' out of all those schools πΊπΎππΎ
Well done everyone! We are so so proud of you π
Brilliant night in the sun at Blackburn Rugby Club π
Over 40 children starting their morning off in the best way!
Exercise and especially, exercise before school is proven to improve concentration, boost mental focus, academic performance, and mood by releasing endorphins. Not only that, they are having fun, socialising and learning so many new skills.

We had the most amazing afternoon celebrating with our wonderful school community. We showcased our competition dance and every child showed off their beautiful party clothes with a walk down our catwalk. We had food stalls, competitions, henna, hair styling, make up, a hamper raffle and tombola.
All staff joined in the celebrations and even wore traditional Eid party wear.
It was a fantastic day π
Huge well done to our children who impressed their teachers so much this month showing their forgiving and caring nature.
We love to celebrate the amazing achievements of our pupils outside of school and hope they inspire others to push themselves and be brave now and in the future.
This fantastic project gave our pupils essential life skills alongside road safety knowledge. They integrated drama, practical experiences and a variety of scenarios, helping students learn to navigate real-world challenges both in school and in their personal lives. It was a brilliant morning and the pupils learnt so much.
The reception children loved having their Year 6 friends come down and read to them during World Book Day. It was so special to see their faces light up as they listened intently to the stories. π π Thank you Year 6 π
World Book Day was a truly magical celebration of stories, imagination, and creativity across the whole school! The excitement was clear to see as children arrived eager to share their love of reading.
The children made exciting dioramas at home, inspired by the books they were reading in class. From a range of the Wil Tribe Hero books, their diorama creations were bursting with detail and creativity.
Each class was also given a special challenge to design and decorate their classroom door, inspired by the habitat of their targeted books. The results were incredible—our corridors were transformed into a journey through a variety of habitats, showcasing the children’s teamwork and artistic flair.
It was a fantastic day that celebrated not only books, but the joy of reading and the wonderful creativity of our pupils!
