We had the most amazing afternoon celebrating with our wonderful school community. We showcased our competition dance and every child showed off their beautiful party clothes with a walk down our catwalk. We had food stalls, competitions, henna, hair styling, make up, a hamper raffle and tombola.
All staff joined in the celebrations and even wore traditional Eid party wear.
It was a fantastic day 🌙
Huge well done to our children who impressed their teachers so much this month showing their forgiving and caring nature.
World Book Day was a truly magical celebration of stories, imagination, and creativity across the whole school! The excitement was clear to see as children arrived eager to share their love of reading.
The children made exciting dioramas at home, inspired by the books they were reading in class. From a range of the Wil Tribe Hero books, their diorama creations were bursting with detail and creativity.
Each class was also given a special challenge to design and decorate their classroom door, inspired by the habitat of their targeted books. The results were incredible—our corridors were transformed into a journey through a variety of habitats, showcasing the children’s teamwork and artistic flair.
It was a fantastic day that celebrated not only books, but the joy of reading and the wonderful creativity of our pupils!

Wow! What a fantastic day we’ve had, SMSJ has had our very own mad scientist (Wacky Jacky) come to school. We’ve watched lots of experiments, made our very own slime and potions and had a fantastic science filled day ! The children’s faces say it all - laughs, giggles and screams!
Year 2 had an amazing day at Lego Land. They experienced interactive rides, live shows, and building workshops. What an amazing day !

This half-term all our pupils have been working on their gymnastic skills. They have been so brave and really challenged their bodies to create some excellent work. We have been working on so many aspects of gym, including gross motor skills, jumping and landing, strength, flexibility, partner and group balances and developing our team work and cooperation skills by creating sequences.
We have had over 80 children attend the numerous gymnastics clubs each week, and I am so proud of how hard they have been working.
We look forward to our gymnastics competition in February 🤸🏾
