  • European Day of Languages

Today at SMSJ, we celebrated European Languages Day with a wonderful range of exciting activities across the school. Each year group selected a different European country to focus on, giving the children the opportunity to learn about and explore the rich cultures, traditions, languages, and celebrations from across Europe.

Throughout the day, pupils took part in a variety of engaging activities, including arts and crafts, music, dance, food tasting, language-learning challenges, and cultural research projects. The children showed great enthusiasm as they discovered new customs, landmarks, and traditions, developing a deeper appreciation for the diversity that makes Europe such a vibrant and fascinating continent.

European Languages Day provided a fantastic opportunity to celebrate multilingualism, broaden cultural understanding, and inspire curiosity about the world around us. We are incredibly proud of the children's enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to embrace new experiences.

Please take a look at some of the exciting activities the children enjoyed throughout the day.
