    • Year 1 Toys - Visit from the Library

      Published 27/01/26

Year 1 enjoyed a fascinating visit from Mrs Ramsden from our local library as part of their History learning about toys through the ages.

Mrs Ramsden brought along a collection of toys from the past, giving the children a wonderful opportunity to see and handle toys that children would have played with many years ago. The children had great fun exploring and playing with the different toys while learning about how they were used.

During the session, the children discussed the similarities and differences between old and modern toys. They noticed that many older toys were made from materials such as wood and metal and did not use batteries or technology, unlike many toys today.

The visit was an engaging and hands-on learning experience that helped bring their History topic to life. A big thank you to Mrs Ramsden for sharing her knowledge and helping the children learn more about toys from the past.
