    • Our Winner Qasim πŸŒ™

      Published 25/03/26

Qasim , our super star reception pupil and a member of One Voice Blackburn’s Mini East End Boys (EEBs) group, impressed youth workers with his artistic talent during a design activity organised by One Voice Blackburn.

Children in the Mini EEBs group were asked to create designs for the organisation’s annual Eid card.

While in previous years the chosen designs have come from much older children, Qasim’s artwork stood out and was selected as One Voice Blackburn's official Eid card design for 2026.

We are so proud of you ☺️

Our KS1 and KS2 children had a wonderful time taking part in the 'Let's Go Sing' event at Blackburn Ice Arena. Joining hundreds of children from schools across Lancashire, our pupils sang a variety of songs as part of a spectacular mass choir performance.

The atmosphere throughout the event was truly beautiful, with children, staff, and families coming together to celebrate the joy of music and singing. One of the highlights of the evening was a special performance from the teachers, who sang to the children, creating a memorable and heartwarming moment for everyone involved.

We are incredibly proud of our pupils, who sang with enthusiasm, confidence, and excellent behaviour. It was a fantastic experience and a wonderful celebration of music, community, and friendship.

    • World Book Day 2026

      Published 10/03/26

World Book Day was a truly magical celebration of stories, imagination, and creativity across the whole school! The excitement was clear to see as children arrived eager to share their love of reading.

The children made exciting dioramas at home, inspired by the books they were reading in class. From a range of the Wil Tribe Hero books, their diorama creations were bursting with detail and creativity.

Each class was also given a special challenge to design and decorate their classroom door, inspired by the habitat of their targeted books. The results were incredible—our corridors were transformed into a journey through a variety of habitats, showcasing the children’s teamwork and artistic flair.

It was a fantastic day that celebrated not only books, but the joy of reading and the wonderful creativity of our pupils!

    • Science Week - STEM

      Published 09/03/26

This year's Science Week was a fantastic celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), with pupils across the school taking part in a range of exciting and hands-on activities.

Throughout the week, children explored real-world challenges, carried out investigations, designed and built creative solutions, and developed their problem-solving and teamwork skills. The activities encouraged pupils to think like scientists, engineers, mathematicians and innovators while making learning fun and engaging.

Our STEM focus helped children understand how these subjects are connected and how they play an important role in everyday life and future careers. It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm as pupils embraced new challenges and shared their discoveries with others.

Science Week was a great success, inspiring our children to ask questions, think critically and develop a lifelong love of learning.
