We will be meandering through the world of rivers!
We are hoping to visit a local river to find out more about its characteristics.
Our work will take us on a journey from the mountains to the sea, learning about the environment and pollution.
We will learn how bridges are built- building our own and testing them for strength.
Did you know?
The longest river in the world is the River Nile in Africa. It is 6650km long and travels through ten countries!
As part of our topic Year 3 visited the River Darwen,
The children enjoyed taking part in many activities, they looked for mini beasts
and even set a trap!
The went on a nature walk.
Some children went into the River for a paddle They did some fishing, have a look to see what they found!
