Blue Abyss - Spring 1

Blue Abyss

During this topic we have produced a range of art work which culminated into an end of term art exhibition. Thank you to all of the parents who came along and supported the children with this event.  I am sure that you will agree the children have produced some fabulous art work!  Silk clay sea life

    Exploring pastels

Sketching sea life exploring shading and tone.    Batiq

In Year 4 we have been researching the Blue Abyss.

We have investigated different categories of sea life and made ocean life food chains, discovering the ‘kings of the sea’!

Making mini movies on the I pads and top trumps cards with these animals has been really fun.

We have experienced being in an aquarium in the 4D room and imagined ourselves diving underwater.

We have discovered the different zones of the sea and made a giant version in class to display our crazy and weird deep sea creatures.

It has been really interesting finding out about all the sea explorers and inventors like Jacques Cousteau and Cornelius Drebbel.
