Autumn

IT IS AUTUMN

We began our Autumn journey with a wonderful walk through Queen's Park. We collected all sorts of things including leaves, conkers, seeds, twigs and feathers.

Look what else we spotted!

We think that he was collecting nuts!

We even had time to feed the ducks, swans and other birds.

Thank you to all of our families who were able to join us. It was lovely to have you with us to share this special experience.

 I wonder who lives here?

Why not...

take a walk through your local park and have a look for signs of Autumn. You could bring them into school to show us or use them to do an activity at home like the ones we have done in school.

Look at what we made using our natural materials.

The Little Red Hen

We have been reading the story of The Little Red Hen. There are lots of different versions of this story. In our story the main characters were a hen, a rooster and a mouse.

We have been re telling the story using pictures, props and puppets. We have all joined in saying the repeated parts of the story.  " Who will help me..?"  " Not I."

"Then I will do it myself".

Ask your child to tell you the story of The Little Red Hen.
